The evaluation itself is a single two-hour appointment. Families typically receive their child's report approximately two weeks after their initial appointment, depending on how long it takes for their insurance to approve the psychological testing.

The appointment doesn't last as long as other providers because she is more efficient in the process, cutting out assessments that are not needed given your child's presenting concerns, and drawing on her knowledge of exactly which measures are necessary to confirm a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, or Intellectual Disability.

Yes and no. They can be scheduled back-to-back, and both children can be present at both appointments for up to four hours. If you have more than two children who need an evaluation, they will need to be scheduled on two different days.

 Not everyone who evaluates your child can provide an official diagnosis. Professionals qualified to diagnose Autism include:

School evaluations and therapists cannot provide an official clinical diagnosis. Dr. Menousek is a licensed psychologist whose evaluations provide an official diagnosis accepted by schools, medical providers, and insurance companies.

Before you leave your appointment, you'll schedule a follow-up telehealth call, typically about 45 minutes. Dr. Menousek will walk you through the full report and answer your questions. You'll receive a detailed written report as a PDF that you can share with your child's school, pediatrician, or any other providers on your child's team.
